Brethren / Sisters,The friends of Brother Dean Speight, more especially his Masonic family are sponsoring a BBQ fund raiser to help the family with medical expenses. For those that don't know, Brother Dean has been diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing extensive chemo treatment. This benefit fundraiser will take place on Friday, August 28thfrom 10:30am till 8:00pm or until sold out.
This event will take place in the kitchen and dinning area of the Stanly Masonic Center located at 230 North First Street in Albemarle. Deliveries will be available for 10 meals or more. Plates will be $7.00 and consist of BBQ, slaw, baked beans, bread, chips, and a dessert. Drinks will be provided for those dinning in the facility.
Tickets are being pre sold and can be obtained from any Albemarle 703 member. There will also be a donation jug set up in the dinning area for those wanting to contribute on and above just the meals. Donations can also be sent to the treasurer of Albemarle Lodge 703 at P.O. Box 432, Albemarle, NC 28002-0432. Make checks out to Albemarle Lodge 703 with Dean Speight listed in the notes. All proceeds will be going directly to the family.
What we are asking of our local Masonic neighbors is to get the word out to everyone possible. Please read this at your next stated communication. We need all the eating support we can get as these medical bills are extensive. Thanks for your support.
